The Visa Acceptance Forum took place on Wednesday, April 8th, with a portion of the discussions dedicated to stablecoins. Beyond new products, Visa’s vision was particularly aligned with that of CentralPay.

The question is no longer whether stablecoins will remain confined to the crypto world, nor whether they will replace existing payment infrastructures. The real issue now is building the foundations to seamlessly, compliantly, and industrially connect traditional finance and on-chain finance.

From March 2, 2026, activities classified as payment services must be carried out within a fully authorized framework.

The publication by the European Banking Authority (EBA) on February 12, 2026 of its Opinion on the end of the transitional period provided for in the No Action Letter of June 10, 2025 marks a structuring step for the European crypto ecosystem.

In line with this, the ACPR has just clarified its expectations regarding the payment institution approval for certain providers offering crypto-asset services involving electronic money tokens (EMT).

These texts do not create a new rule. They do, however, clarify the application of existing rules. For CASPs, the ambiguity is now resolved.

Cash management is often perceived as a purely operational task, involving the analysis of bank statements and manual lettering.
