Case study
The debt collection agency France Contentieux has chosen CentralPay to automate its payment process: from collecting payments from debtors to making daily payments to its clients.
Since 1973, France Contentieux (Konecta Group) has been recovering debts on behalf of large companies. The firm handles several million cases a year, in both B2B and B2C sectors. Today, the firm is focusing on digitalisation to better serve its clients and reduce the operational workload on its teams.

Context
France Contentieux monitors payment deadlines, requests payments by email or telephone, and provides an online portal enabling debtors to pay by card or bank transfer.
The debt collection officer was then responsible for reconciling each payment, linking it to the correct debtor file, sending reminders where necessary, and transferring the funds to the creditor, down to the nearest euro.
The CentralPay platform has enabled us to secure and optimise our payment processes for card payments, direct debits and bank transfers. We have been able to automate the entire payment chain: from our accounts receivable system to the reconciliation of transactions in our IT system.

Solution
CentralPay integrates with the France Contentieux portal. Everything that used to be done manually is now automated,
from payment by the debtor to remittance to the creditor.
The CentralPay form brings together several payment methods in one place: payment card, bank transfer and SEPA direct debit.
The payer chooses the method that suits them best and makes the payment via a single online process.
Multiple payment methods
Hosted form
Payment in installments, direct debits, instant reconciliation, reminders: every repetitive task is handled automatically.
The team only steps in to deal with blockages and exceptions.
Automation workflows
Notifications and alerts
Automatic retry
100 per cent of the funds raised are paid to the creditor via a daily SEPA transfer, with no fees deducted.
Each payment is accompanied by a breakdown of the relevant transactions.
Automated third-party payments

End-of-month payment
In addition to the planned instalment plan, the debtor can choose the amount they wish to pay. They can pay an initial instalment and then pay the rest later.
As far as the firm is concerned, a partial debt is better than no debt at all. And for the creditor, every payment, even a partial one, is credited to their account the very next day.
